The financial contribution of the SPEGC amounts to a total of 130,000.00 euros once the operation has been approved by the evaluation commission of the Participative Loan Instrument with the aim of supporting the development of technological and innovative SMEs.

HEALTH MICROBIOTICS SPAIN S.L. carries out its activity linked to the field of “marine biotechnology” in cooperation with public research entities located in Gran Canaria, specifically with the “Banco Español de Algas” of the Fundación Parque Científico Tecnológico of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The company bases its business model on the new generation of bioactive compounds of marine origin, mainly microalgae and cyanobacteria, with direct application through innovative solutions aimed at the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. In turn, the company has a high international commercial projection that will allow it to generate income from the beginning through products already on the market.

The financing is linked to the “Experimental and Comprehensive Program of Research and Economic Activities linked to the exploitation of Insular Marine Resources” specifically to the financing instrument aimed at companies that cooperate with public research entities located in Gran Canaria.
